School-Based Dental Team Recognized for Services
5/10/2021
CFMC’s school-based dental team was recently recognized for their outstanding services. Carly Waldrep, Family Resource Director at Calvary Elementary and West Marion Elementary Schools stated, “I want to praise the wonderful dental crew. They are hands down the best! I would not want to have the dental program without these ladies. I have had multiple staff members including the principal speak praises of them- - they are now part of our family. They make each kiddo that they see feel special. All of my kiddos that are super nervous, walk back to class with a smile because of those ladies. I have already had students ask me when they get to have another cleaning- - teeth cleaning is now cool.” Pictured (from left to right) is Michelle Maddox, Dental Assistant, Layla Mattingly, RDH, and Tonda Helton, DMD.
Julie Smith, RDH, Director of Dental Services for CFMC continued, “I consider it a privilege to work with dental professionals who give 110% every day to make sure that every child is given the very best experience and the highest quality of care.”
CFMC provides preventative dental care including comprehensive and periodic exams, cleanings, x-rays fluoride treatments, oral hygiene education, and sealants. These services are offered in a total of 84 schools in 15 rural school districts to ensure students have access to oral health services.
